Power Rangers is not Sentai, and Sentai is not Power Rangers.

In this time and day, Power Rangers is currently airing in most of America, Europe and even some parts of Asia. Japan is now lagging behind due to the US adaptions, which leaves little to no place to air sentai outside of Japan. In fact, These countries - some of them used to air sentai in the past - are the places where sentai is treated as Power Rangers. even Southern Korea airs sentai as "Power Rangers" when the fact it, it isn't.

It all started when Power Rangers aired outside of America, and from then on, only a few sentai ever aired in the Year 2000-onwards. An example of sentai that aired before Power Rangers took over in that decade was in the Philippines, Choujin Sentai Jetman. after it was aired countless times there, Wild Force came to play in 2004. after that, the only tokusatsu that aired in the country were Henshin Heroes, Kamen Riders and Ultramen, leaving Sentai nowhere to go to in the country.

Even worse, Power Rangers left an almost irrecoverable mark on its viewers worldwide, which goes two ways. one is it helped some Power Rangers fans find their way to Super Sentai by learning its origin, and in turn, makes then fans of Sentai or fans of both. another is disasterous: all sentai shows are labeled "Power Rangers" by viewers, leaving the new generation viewers thinking that shows like Flashman, Liveman and others are "Power Rangers", even going as far as other toku like Kamen Riders, Henshin Heroes, and other toku that have costumed heroes calling them "Power Rangers". even those who watched sentai in the past might mistake them for Power Rangers.

Power Rangers maybe popular with the rest of the world as a substitute for Sentai, but it's not good at all. there was news that Power Rangers will end with RPM, so I'm happy for it. but if doesn't, let it be. even Bandai said they will import the Shinkenger toy line if Disney doesn't do a season 18 Shinkenger adaption. if ever Power Rangers end, it will take years for the damage to be fixed to bring people back to Super Sentai.

To conclude: Power Rangers is NOT Super Sentai, and Super Sentai WILL NEVER BE Power Rangers. If I were you, better watch Super Sentai subbed so you'll know what I mean, because only Super Sentai brings more fun, more action, than Power Rangers. Super Sentai IS THE REAL DEAL SINCE 1975- more longer than Power Rangers.

So Viva La Super Sentai!
