Why I have the "Best of both worlds"

Ever wondered why I liked two things at one time? There's a reason: the first Disney Channel show I was hooked to was Lizzie McGuire, and Hilary Duff became my first Disney celeb I liked. but during the time I liked Lizzie McGuire, another thing came to me thanks to the Internet- Super Sentai.

I ended up in supersentai.com in 2003 and then remembered the shows I used to watch as a kid like Bioman, Maskman (These two were famous in the Philippines where I used to live), Turboranger, Fiveman and Jetman, as well as a bit of Goggle Five. I also knew that other sentai that didn't air in the Philippines which are popular in other countries- mostly in Europe, Latin America and Asia- also existed, like Changeman, Flashman, Liveman, Ohranger, among countless others.

As such, at first I was only limited to sentai, then I opened my eyes to other Tokusatsu genres, like Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Henshin Heroes (the last one I saw in my country was Ryukendo), and Ultraman. also, my being a Hilary Duff fan expanded to other people when 2006 came, like Miley Cyrus, The High School Musical gang, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and even new shows like The Suite Life series, Phil of the Future, Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny with a Chance and Hannah Montana.

With this in my thoughts, I made Disney Channel and Super Sentai teamups in fanfiction.net (my pen name there is Arnold McGuire 335), even the folks in Henshin Justice unlimited (forums.henshinjustice.com) knew of my "Best of both worlds" mentality. from that point on, I met friends w/ similar favorites, one of these JediBmoney who's being my aibou (partner) for a long time since we met, and he brought me to points of the internet that lead me closer to those Disney celebs.

So, who said, I'm limited to just one thing? in fact, I like mecha anime, J-pop, local celebs in the Philippines like Shaina Magdayao (who looks a bit like Selena Gomez in some aspects, also she's my age since were both in 1989), and lots more.

So Indeed, I have the "Best of both worlds."

Rescue Night starts at Fridays at 7:00 PM eastern and is on at 6:00PM easten during Daylight Savings Time

Toku Night starts at Saturdays 6:00 PM eastern. It starts at the show before the Super Sentai so that people can discuss
things before Super Hero Time starts. I do that so people of the fandom can get to know one another better
and help each other out. Daylight savings time for super hero time is 5PM eastern.

Awhile ago on Super Hero Time...

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger:
The five core rangers are introduced to Ebi Origami, and they were awed at it, so awed, Ryounosuke dared to one of the Kuroko for a day. If he didn't succeed, he won't get to use Genta's Ebi Origami. then, 10 school girls were kidnapped by the old geezer so Genta and Ryounosuke go intestigate, and they freed the 10 and the other 4 join in as the beat the Kaiju of the week w/ IkaShenkenOh. but it got detached from it by the enemy but Ika Origami countered and they did the finisher as IkaShinkenOh again.

Kamen Rider Decade:
The episode is focused on DiEnd's place where Kamen Riders are not allowed, Glaive, Lance and L'arc are hunting Kaito, and where Kaito is a wanted person. because some Jokers came out and attacked random town folk, they were forced to henshin to the Riders, and the people were chasing after them after the fight. Later, as Diend was done fighting some mosnters, Lance and L'arc fought with DiEnd, and Decade goes complete form and uses Kiva's Emperor form to get rid of the others. it ends with Diend attacked.

Another day, another Super Hero Time.

Well today is another day of Super Hero Time after a week's absence due to golf.

so today we're going to see the 1st part of the DiEnd no sekai in Kamen Rider Decade @ 8 am JST/4 pm PST, and before that, a new episode of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger @ 7:30 am JST/3:30 pm PST.

all of this, only on TV Asahi. (again, don't forget your Keyhole TV or other similar streaming service.)

Just watched the movie yesterday.

I got to see Princess Protection Program yesterday, and it was the best I've seen today. Selena and Demi's performance in the movie was outstanding, so it was good to watch today.

The movie started in where Selena's character Carter Mason and her father, an agent in the PPP, preparing for school and her father dropping her off to school. meanwhile, Rosalinda-hime (Lovato) (the -hime prefix is Japanese for Princess) prepares to takeover the country she's in until dictator General Kane brought chaos in the place, in which Carter's dad saves her, but in turn leaves her mom in the country.

As soon as they got to the secret HQ of the PPP, they did preparations and explanations of the PPP for Rosalinda- later Rosie Gonzales- to change her identity so that General Kane won't be able to seek her. Carter's father had her stay with Carter so she can get used to the place where she will not be found.

At first, the two women don't get along, but in the end, they become friends, and Carter, at first, taught Rosie things she never had done before, and at school, it was revealed she can speak different languages (although only two were used, French when she talked to the teacher and Spanish when she talked with the cafeteria lady, Japanese was mentioned in the conversation in French). She became a hit with the other students, but it affected the movie's two antagonists (Played by Jamie Chung and Samantha Droke), who are jealous of her.

It was not long until General Kane knew where she is (due to a phone call from Carter), and the rivals knew who Rosie was, the final showdown was a 2-against one with Jaime's Character and General Kane in the school. however, Rosie sent the rival to the pool and Carter's father caught the Dictator (thanks to Carter's plan on being "bait" to that Rosie can be safe), which leads to a goodbye of sorts, but in the end of the movie, Rosalinda-hime was finally crowned as the new ruler of her country, as the others cheer for her, esp. Carter and her agent dad.

All in all, the movie was a sight to see, and this was my first DCOM premiere I watched in the US. so it was a good movie all along. a must see, esp. if you have a friend you treasure much.

Final score: 10/10

Selena and Demi takes over Disney Channel for one night?

This coming June 26, BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will take over Disney Channel for the whole day, which leads to the US premiere of their new Disney Channel Original Movie "Princess Protection Program". I know France was the 1st to air this than the US. this movie would be good to watch, as this flick kinda reminds me of "The Princess Diaries" mixed w/ that Mandy Moore film in which she is the president's daughter.

Well, back to the said thing, June 26, keep tuned in to Disney Channel, as Selena and Demi will pop out in select points of the channel's airday, all the way to P.P.P.

I myself will look forward to this.
