Lizzie McGuire having a new series?!

Recently, there was word that Lizzie McGuire will have a new series, set in college. The said new Lizzie show, Lizzie McGuire: College Life was planned for a 2012 airing on Disney Channel. Also said was Hilary Duff would reprise her role as Lizzie and the series will begin filming this Fall. It's currently unknown what else was said about the upcoming production.

If this is true, would you be excited to see Lizzie back on air?

If you loved Debby Ryan back in The Suite Life on Deck, you'll love her more in her new show "Jessie", about a recent HS graduate who heads off to New York to be a teen nanny to 4 children! Follow her adventures in teen babysitting starting this Friday (9/30) at 8pm on Disney Channel.

Funny enough, after Kamen Rider Fourze's debut, this comes along. this is the 3rd time a Disney Channel Original and a Toku debuted in the same month, again, after a few weeks/days. the 1st being Sonny With a Chance alongside Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009) and the Disney Channel Original Movie StarStruck alongside Tensou Sentai Goseiger (2010).

DCOM for "Shake It Up" ordered by Disney!

According to Variety, Disney has ordered a “Shake It Up” Disney Channel Original Movie based on the Disney Channel Original Series. No word yet on the plot of the movie, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we get more information!
The report also states that “Shake It Up” is the most-watched series on TV with kids 6-11 and 9-14, and that “Shake It Up” is on the way to becoming the number one cable series of all time in the 9-14 demographic.

Debby Ryan's "Jessie" begins production

The Disney Channel has begun production on its new series “Jessie,” which stars Debby Ryan from “The Suite Life On Deck.” In the show, set to premiere in the fall, Debby plays a teen who moves from Texas to New York City and becomes a nanny for a high-profile couple’s four children.

Also starring in the show are:
- Kevin Chamberlin (Broadway’s “The Addams Family”) as Bertram, the butler
- Peyton List (“27 Dresses,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”) as 13-year-old Emma
- Karan Brar (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”) as 10-year-old Ravi
- Cameron Boyce (“Grown Ups”) as 12-year-old Luke
- Skai Jackson (“Royal Pains”) as 7-year-old

Here is the description of the show from the Disney Channel:
“Jessie is a small town girl with big dreams who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime when she decides to leave behind starry nights for big city lights. Thrilled to be on her own and determined not to be intimidated by New York City, she accepts a job as nanny and moves in with highflying couple Morgan and Pandora and their four children, Emma, Ravi, Luke and Zuri. With a whole new world of opportunities within her reach, Jessie begins to navigate young adulthood and life in the big city. She surprises herself with how much she comes to rely on the support and advice of the kids in her care. Also helping to keep her moral compass in check are Bertram, the family’s butler, and Tony, the building’s 20-year-old doorman.”

Demi Lovato is always welcome @ So Random

Celebuzz got to hang with the cast of Disney’s hit show So Random! Tuesday, many of whom you probably recognize from Sonny with a Chance. 

Demi Lovato announced in April she wouldn’t be returning to the hit show so she could focus on her recovery and her music (So Random! is the revamped version) and the cast holds no grudges about Lovato’s departure.   

“I just had dinner with her two nights ago, she came over and we cooked,” So Random! star and former Sonny star Tiffany Thornton told us. “She’s one of my best friends we’re still super close!”  

As for Demi’s reaction to the show continuing without her?   “She’s excited for us,” Tiffany said genuinely. “[Demi]’s excited that when she went off to do music and focus on herself, that we still have this. We’re a family. I know she misses being here, but I’m super proud of her for everything she’s done.” Plus, it sounds like Demi has put her time to good use!  “I heard previews of her new stuff, it’s amazing,” Thornton eagerly told Celebuzz. “It’s so good, I’m excited.” 

Tiffany’s So Random! costar Allisyn Ashley Arm said that Demi is always welcome back. Especially since each episode features a new musical guest!  “It would be so awesome to have Demi back here. She was so much fun to have on set for two seasons. I really hope she can come back and do a musical performance.”  

We like that idea too!  Everyone be sure to check out So Random! when it premieres on the Disney Channel June 5th. You won’t be disappointed!

Sonny With A Chance Of... a name change?! 
Sonny With A Chance star Brandon Mychal Smith just revealed some surprising news: Since Demi Lovato's on a career break,Sonny will be taking the show within a show's title, So Random!  
"With a show like ours, and any great show that I've seen in the past, each season you focus on a different concept," Brandon explains. "...This season you'll be able to see So Random, see why we are where we are today in regards to being the teen idols that we are. You'll be able to see how we bring the funny every week."

We all know Good Luck Charlie is a family show, right? of course you do. However, this doesn't stop Bridgit Mendler to be a Ms. Fanservice in the show- at least in the first episode of the show. want proof?

In this scene, her cleavage shows. a scene before that, her boobs almost said "hi" to the male viewers when she put lipstick on.

If you look closely she is giving the "slip", and by slip I mean her bra is almost showing.

And Finally, the last slip up is when she said "Emmett, go somewhere".

I was going to put this as an addition to my previous post (The fanservice post) but I decided not to. Anyways, luckily this episode wasn't edited (unlike in International Dateline" from On Deck where they later censored Debby Ryan's boob and bra slippage), so when you get to catch it (esp. all the more on HD), you'll see what I meant. *wink-wink*

Saraba, 2010.

As 2010 finally ends this year, It finally all comes to a close. now it's time to lookback at stuff that happened in both the World of Disney Channel and the World of Tokusatsu.

1. A year of Cool, epic new shows

That 2010, We were treated to cool shows like Tensou Sentai GoSeiger, Good Luck Charlie, JONAS LA, Shake It Up and Kamen Rider OOO. Shake It Up brought back the Lizzie McGuire formula of everyday tween problems and situations while mixing elements from Hannah Montana and Sonny With a Chance, while Kamen Rider OOO brings forth the rider with the most forms via medals. Good Luck Charlie reintroduces the formula of a normal family first found in Even Stevens (in fact, it's been 10 years since Stevens) while Tensou Sentai GoSeiger, brings back powered protectors (last seen in Boukenger), no "all mechas combined" formation (since Gekiranger), and a no identity 6th Ranger since Hurricanger.

2. The movies that excite us

2010 is another reason for movies and such. Toku movies like Super Hero Time: The Movie 2010 (Kamen Rider W FOREVER A-Z: The Gaia Memories of Fate and Tensou Sentai GoSeiger: Epic on the Movie), Ultraman Zero The Movie, The Cho Den-O Trilogy movies, and Kamen Rider Movie Wars Core exicted toku fans, while Disney Channel Original Movies like 16 Wishes, Avalon High (pictured above), StarStruck, Den Brother and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam were the servings of that year for tween viewers. Disney Stars got in the act too in the big screen, with  Zac Efron's Charlie St. Cloud and Selena Gomez's Ramona and Beezus leading the pack.

3. The lucky number 18

2010 was also the year 3 Disney Girls finally turned legit in the eyes of most of their boy fans. Starting with Selena Gomez (July 22), then Demi Lovato (August 22), and finally Miley Cyrus (November 23), these 3 finally bloomed. The only guy that was the same age of them this year, who also turned legit too, was Nick Jonas.

4. The time their shows say goodbye

In the episode shooting part of their shows, Both The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana Forever ends their filming of episodes on their last day of shooting their last episodes. Kamen Rider W, on the other hand, while their filming of the show was already over, finally bids farewell that August 2010. however, their adventure is not over yet, as evidenced in Movie Wars Core.

5. The crumbling of Miley and Demi's World

The year that they became 18 was also the year things didn't go well for them. Miley had much a problem from dressing provocatively to her parents finally divorcing. Demi on the other hand, lost her boyfriend (Joe Jonas) to Ashley Greene, her friend died (not Selena, fortunately), and because her bad past caught up with her, ended up punching her backup dancer and threatening Ashley, all leading to her going to rehab to heal herself. but it got worse when her haters banded together and started brining up false rumors to bring her down.

As we finally say farewell in a few hours (some countries may have been already finished celebrating New Year's Day), it's time to let go of the bad memories of that year and bring with us the happiest ones for this year. in 2011, We have lots to look forward too, like the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Goukaiger, the Sentai version of Kamen Rider Decade, Demi Lovato's comeback, and Hannah Montana's final episode.

so 2010... We'll miss you.

My Thoughts on Shake It Up

Disney Channel's 3rd live action newbie for 2010, Shake It Up, is getting to be great after 3 episodes (the 4th will be this Sunday) and it's no so bad at all. Combines elements from Lizzie McGuire (everyday life situations) and Hannah Montana (fame in a specific field) with a dash of Sonny with a Chance in the in-series show section, this series is off to a great start. so what do I think of it currently?

Like I mentioned awhile ago, the Series combines elements from both Lizzie and Hannah. in fact, both the Jones and Blue siblings are somewhat patterned after their respective sibling models. Cecilia "CeCe" Jones and Flynn Jones represent Lizzie and Matt McGuire, the latter being an exact lookalike of Matt as an 8 year old. Raquel "Rocky" Blue and Ty Blue represent Miley and Jackson Stewart, the latter being not that much of a jerk like Jackson was.

Since the girls do not have a "Sidekick" on the series, CeCe somewhat feels like Lilly Truscott while Rocky is a bit more like Miranda Sanchez. for the rivals of twin sibs Gunther and Tinka, which according to the creator is based off the Evans sibs from High School Musical, are more in the frenemies type. But they sometimes, when in enemy mode, They likely remind you of both Kate and Claire (if you're on Lizzie) or Amber and Ashley (if you're on Hannah). curiously, Gunther is a male Sharpay and Tinka the female Ryan. (Gender swapped, maybe?)

For the show itself, Most of the time it feels like Lizzie McGuire when the two are in everyday normal lives, but when they're on the in-series show (which is also the title of the main show as well), it's a bit Hannah in plot, despite that they don't have a secret identity and don't act like being over-the-top in their selves. the only exception being the episode where they treat Ty and Deuce to an expensive restaurant and then... their debit cards are dead. That plot was used in Hannah twice and this is a shout out to those episodes.

Since there's no girl sidekick, Deuce represents both Gordo and Oliver, and fortunately, no parings! probably because they have to stop doing the love angle for this show to avoid a mistake from Hannah- the "got together w/o development" thing the Hannah staffers did.

episodes wise, the show is awesome that you'll enjoy this show so much. both the show-made songs and the dance moves will have you loving it as well as the plots for the day. every episode title is formatted as "(plot point) It Up."

Finally, The OP of the show, while not sang by either Bella Thorne or Zendaya, is still catchy, and is even more great if you heard the full version on Radio Disney. did we mention it's sang by Selena Gomez? this makes Shake It Up the current Disney live-action show that the OP is not sang by the main character, following the lines of Lizzie McGuire, Phil of the Future and the Suite Life duology.

All in all the show maybe young, but the series is off to a great start. in fact, due to greater reception for the show, for New Year's Eve, the show's cast host it's year ender party celebration this year.

Here's hoping Shake It Up will do even better towards a great show everyone will love. Hannah Montana, you just found your Spiritual Successor!

JONAS L.A. won't get a 3rd season

Sad news for all u Jonas L.A fans. Jonas L.A.'s director tweeted this past weekend that the show has been cancelled! After some speculation last month that the series wouldn't return for a third season, it seems that Disney officially decided to pull the plug. Though the tweet has since been taken down, fans are taking the message as confirmation the boys definitely won't be back.

Making Babies Cry MV...

Dry your eyes, people!

The hit Disney Channel show Sonny With A Chance has recently released a "So Random" music vid to help promote their upcoming Halloween episode. And, boy, is it a treat!

The song is called "Making Babies Cry" and features Nico (Brandon Mychal Smith) crooning a romantic Neyo-esque R&B tune to Demi Lovato about how the only thing he likes more than making a girl feel special is scaring the daylights out of infants. Wha???

Here's great news for all you Suite Life on Deck fans: the cast--Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Brenda Song, Debby Ryan and Phill Lewis (the always-funny Mr. Moseby)--will begin filming The Suite Life Movie this month!
In the movie, Cody and Zack participate in a hi-tech research project that allows them to share thoughts, feelings and even sensations, but the experiment ends up being more dangerous than anyone could have imagined!
