Breaking boundries

Lets think back. Back when there were more on the plate. variety never went out of style and choice was the best part of a day.

Metal Hero's coming back would be as much of a blessing as Takara-Tomy making a Toku again or another sequel to Gransazer. We need more alternatives. they help keep this fandom rollin. 2008 was an amazing year for that fact alone.

Sure some of them pop up like Dogu-Chan and Daimajin Kanon but with how much everyone is always swooning over Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. They don't get the attention they deserve. Phone Braver 7 was absolutely brilliant.

One of my absolute favorite none Toei/Tsuburaya/Toho tokusatsu's is Madan Senki Ryukendo.
So much style, action, compassion and Confidence that goes so well for Takara-Tomy's
first step into the tokusatsu hero's gig. What comes after that is only just as pleasing.

It may be related to Ishinomri but Voice Logger has to be one of the absolute insane Tokusatsu's ever to be created by man. This series makes Den-O look like a 90's Jim Carey movie.

The point I'm trying to make folks is that there are so many gem's that come out each and every year that always seem to get ignored for the popular stuff beforehand. Sure not all of it is subbed but if you've got the resources to sit through it all and understand each and every little gem you will have a better understanding of this genre that not many people understand.

There is more to this genre than giant robots, spandex heroes and sparkles. Hell if you have a device called Roku you will probably find old school gems like "Forbidden Planet" and the Original dub of Gamara.

I know we all play favorites from time to time. I still get QQ's from people about my past blogs about Ultraman and my thoughts about how that franchise is getting no support but I guess such opinion's tend to bend a nerve or two. Oh well.

Well folks. I'm not done writing for you. I may be in with some other interests lately but you folks are what keep me coming back. Negative or positive thoughts all just keep me writing more.

Have a nice one folks.
