KR Eternal rocks Anime Expo '10
Singer and actor, Matsuoka Mitsuru who served as vocals of the band, SOPHIA was in the Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles last July 3. The place was the venue for Anime Expo 2010 in which he was invited and got the chance to "henshin" into Kamen Rider Eternal who appeared in the upcoming Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z Gaia Memories of Fate as Daido Kasumi.
Matsuoka is in Kamen Rider W as the villain movie Rider, Kamen Rider Eternal, for the upcoming film which will be screened in 3D. The said Rider appeared on stage who sang the theme song of the film, "W (Double)." Usually being live, SOPHIA is known not to answer encore but during the performance, they accepted the request with the said song being played again. Nokia Theatre is well known as the venue of the Academy Awards. That stage had Matsuoka replaced when the stage black-out for the interlude of the song with the dashing Kamen Rider Eternal appearing. Furthermore, in this scene announces Rider Kick to American fans and the intensity of the venue reached its peak.
Kamen Rider W and Matsuoka which moved to the convention center and got the chance to meet cosplayers and otakus. While pulling his heroic pose for the camera he said, "For anime fans at first I was anxious in communicating about Japanese music and culture. But being able to introduce Kamen Rider who represents Japan to American fans, I feel very delighted."
Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z Gaia Memories of Fate premieres on theaters this August 7.
