Gokaiger and Satoru Akashi - START UP!

Well this is kind of a shout-out to Boukenger or what?  Well the pirates seek adventure, Satoru Akashi is a wild adventurer.  So here's what's going on...

Satoru Akashi is BACK for an adventurer with the quest for the "Heart of Hades" a new Precious that unfortunately...

Restores the really hateful Ryuon to life.  Woah!  Well it's kinda scary to how disfigured Ryuon is right here.  But he really has a lot of hate issues.  The Heart of Hades can bring back the dead.  Go figure.  Now the hellish villain managed to return as a guest.  He has the Heart of Hades right into him for the major reason of revenge.

It was fun seeing Satoru Akashi blend in with some pirates.  The partnership between Marvelous and Satoru is pretty interesting.  Marvelous does get to use Satoru's power to beat Ryuon as well.

Anniversary Sentai series

Sentai has some of its anniversary seasons and I'll talk a little bit of their significance to the franchise as a whole:

Kosoku Sentai Turboranger- This show before starting its proper series, introduced the Sentai groups (minus Goranger and JAKQ) to how they fought against the evil forces of their season. It introduced the idea of teenagers struggling with high school (in contrast to Liveman's College students) fighting against evil forces that humanity itself has released because of wickedness. This show also introduced the first ultimate combination. This show seemed to be the first one considered to be adapted into MMPR.

Mirai Sentai Timeranger- Although not the 25th entry (it's 24th), however I count this as an anniversary season. Why? Episode 51 was simply a special presentation where the Timerangers go back into the past to meet the various Sentai groups from 1975-2000. True to its name, it was launched during the year 2000, the start of the new millenium and it fully acknowledged Goranger and JAKQ.

Hyaku Sentai Gaoranger- It didn't have a crossover with Timeranger (the PR version did), instead it had a crossover called Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai with the dream team of Big One, Mega Pink, Ginga Blue, Go Yellow and Red Falcon and eventually a showcase of red rangers to encourage the Gaorangers. The show introduced the first multi-gattai robots and had the plot twist where the organization always had a change of leader. It also crammed in one ancient guy trapped in suspended animation to five modern day heroes. LOL I wonder why I'm still a fan of the Shirogane-Sae shipping?

Go Go Sentai Boukenger- I kind of thought that the phrase "go go" is almost a tribute to MMPR's tagline "Go Go Power Rangers". Maybe. Being the 30th anniversary, it had short clips starting in episode four about one Sentai group after the other, even a "documentary" on the Super Sentai shows. The show was popular to both Sentai fans and Power Rangers fans, mixing both original PR elements with original Sentai elements to make the show a memorable experience. Its anniversary team-up "Boukenger vs. Super Sentai" was a nice one but it wasn't as awesome as Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai IMO.

Power Animals

The "God of the Power Animals," comprised of the five God Power Animals. Tetomu refers to it as Wild God. As GaoGod, his attacks are Wild God Sword and Power Arrow, where he shoots his sword like an arrow. He was used by the ancient Gaorangers and was made from older versions of the current Gaorangers' totem Power Animals. He was killed 1,000 years ago by Hyakkimaru, which forced Shirogane to don the Dark Wolf Mask. In the present day, he appeared in spirit form to help the Gaorangers restore Shirogane to normal, including temporarily eclipsing the full moon which caused Loki to temporarily revert back to Shirogane.

Has a cameo in the movie 'Fire Mountain Howls' where was piloted by GaoSilver. It is also able to perform combination attacks with other formations, such as Animal Burst with GaoKing and Double God Impact with GaoHunter.

Later, as GaoRed and GaoSilver were fighting Ura, he took the form of the human boy Futaro and guided the four Gaorangers in the afterlife. When they awakened GaoFalcon and were resurrected, he was as well. As Futaro, he was unaware of his true form at first, but slowly began to remember after meeting his old friend, Shirogane, and listening to Tetomu perform Muraski's song. After seeing how the humans had polluted Earth, he transformed into GaoGod and took the Power Animals from the Gaorangers, deeming that humanity does not deserve their help because humans are wasteful creatures and only pollute the Earth.

But after the Gaorangers showed their will to protect the Earth and its creatures, he returned to fight alongside GaoHunter Blue Moon. He returned the Power Animals and left the duty to protect the Earth in the hands of the Gaorangers. He later returned to notify the Gaorangers of the final Org, and again to help Tetomu in sealing the Matrix and in the fight against Senki. Its finishing attack is the Heaven's Punishment Power Arrow.

TenraiSenpuujin (Hurricanger)
When Manmaruba became huge and ate the Goraijer, the Hurricanger went to save them. When the Tenraisenpuujin's chest blades spin, they summon a destructive whirlwind which lifts monsters into the sky and destroys them. It first appears in the movie and then in Episode 37.

In episode 38, Tricondor's Shinobi medals are each shattered after its first fight with Tenraisempujin. The team wasn't able to use it for quite some time. Tenraisempujin simply has too much power. Oboru looked at schematics for the two combinations, she said that it could be Gouraijin causing the problem. It seems to be that the lighting energy conflicts with the wind energy. Oboru wanted to takes some parts out that aren't needed especially a Kuwagata joint. Isshu was not happy about this at all. Isshu lost his hold on his temper and shook Oboru. Nanami and Kouta manage to pull him away.

Itsfinishing attack is the Go-on Crimson Slash with its enlarged flaming Engine Sword. After Maki's death, Engine Dai-Shogun exhausted its energy from fighting her and turned to stone. In Episode 39 of the series, it landed on the Human World and activated by the Engine Sword. It was once again evil and started destroying the city. Why I have the "Best of both worlds"

Ever wondered why I liked two things at one time? There's a reason: the first Disney Channel show I was hooked to was Lizzie McGuire, and Hilary Duff became my first Disney celeb I liked. but during the time I liked Lizzie McGuire, another thing came to me thanks to the Internet- Super Sentai.

I ended up in supersentai.com in 2003 and then remembered the shows I used to watch as a kid like Bioman, Maskman (These two were famous in the Philippines where I used to live), Turboranger, Fiveman and Jetman, as well as a bit of Goggle Five. I also knew that other sentai that didn't air in the Philippines which are popular in other countries- mostly in Europe, Latin America and Asia- also existed, like Changeman, Flashman, Liveman, Ohranger, among countless others.

As such, at first I was only limited to sentai, then I opened my eyes to other Tokusatsu genres, like Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Henshin Heroes (the last one I saw in my country was Ryukendo), and Ultraman. also, my being a Hilary Duff fan expanded to other people when 2006 came, like Miley Cyrus, The High School Musical gang, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and even new shows like The Suite Life series, Phil of the Future, Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny with a Chance and Hannah Montana.

With this in my thoughts, I made Disney Channel and Super Sentai teamups in fanfiction.net (my pen name there is Arnold McGuire 335), even the folks in Henshin Justice unlimited (forums.henshinjustice.com) knew of my "Best of both worlds" mentality. from that point on, I met friends w/ similar favorites, one of these JediBmoney who's being my aibou (partner) for a long time since we met, and he brought me to points of the internet that lead me closer to those Disney celebs.

So, who said, I'm limited to just one thing? in fact, I like mecha anime, J-pop, local celebs in the Philippines like Shaina Magdayao (who looks a bit like Selena Gomez in some aspects, also she's my age since were both in 1989), and lots more.

So Indeed, I have the "Best of both worlds."
