Teddy's got it going on

We all know Good Luck Charlie is a family show, right? of course you do. However, this doesn't stop Bridgit Mendler to be a Ms. Fanservice in the show- at least in the first episode of the show. want proof?
(All screencap credits to Bridgit Mendler Web)

In this scene, her cleavage shows. a scene before that, her boobs almost said "hi" to the male viewers when she put lipstick on.

If you look closely she is giving the "slip", and by slip I mean her bra is almost showing.

And Finally, the last slip up is when she said "Emmett, go somewhere".

I was going to put this as an addition to my previous post (The fanservice post) but I decided not to. Anyways, luckily this episode wasn't edited (unlike in International Dateline" from On Deck where they later censored Debby Ryan's boob and bra slippage), so when you get to catch it (esp. all the more on HD), you'll see what I meant. *wink-wink*

Saraba, 2010.

As 2010 finally ends this year, It finally all comes to a close. now it's time to lookback at stuff that happened in both the World of Disney Channel and the World of Tokusatsu.

1. A year of Cool, epic new shows

That 2010, We were treated to cool shows like Tensou Sentai GoSeiger, Good Luck Charlie, JONAS LA, Shake It Up and Kamen Rider OOO. Shake It Up brought back the Lizzie McGuire formula of everyday tween problems and situations while mixing elements from Hannah Montana and Sonny With a Chance, while Kamen Rider OOO brings forth the rider with the most forms via medals. Good Luck Charlie reintroduces the formula of a normal family first found in Even Stevens (in fact, it's been 10 years since Stevens) while Tensou Sentai GoSeiger, brings back powered protectors (last seen in Boukenger), no "all mechas combined" formation (since Gekiranger), and a no identity 6th Ranger since Hurricanger.

2. The movies that excite us

2010 is another reason for movies and such. Toku movies like Super Hero Time: The Movie 2010 (Kamen Rider W FOREVER A-Z: The Gaia Memories of Fate and Tensou Sentai GoSeiger: Epic on the Movie), Ultraman Zero The Movie, The Cho Den-O Trilogy movies, and Kamen Rider Movie Wars Core exicted toku fans, while Disney Channel Original Movies like 16 Wishes, Avalon High (pictured above), StarStruck, Den Brother and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam were the servings of that year for tween viewers. Disney Stars got in the act too in the big screen, with  Zac Efron's Charlie St. Cloud and Selena Gomez's Ramona and Beezus leading the pack.

3. The lucky number 18

2010 was also the year 3 Disney Girls finally turned legit in the eyes of most of their boy fans. Starting with Selena Gomez (July 22), then Demi Lovato (August 22), and finally Miley Cyrus (November 23), these 3 finally bloomed. The only guy that was the same age of them this year, who also turned legit too, was Nick Jonas.

4. The time their shows say goodbye

In the episode shooting part of their shows, Both The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana Forever ends their filming of episodes on their last day of shooting their last episodes. Kamen Rider W, on the other hand, while their filming of the show was already over, finally bids farewell that August 2010. however, their adventure is not over yet, as evidenced in Movie Wars Core.

5. The crumbling of Miley and Demi's World

The year that they became 18 was also the year things didn't go well for them. Miley had much a problem from dressing provocatively to her parents finally divorcing. Demi on the other hand, lost her boyfriend (Joe Jonas) to Ashley Greene, her friend died (not Selena, fortunately), and because her bad past caught up with her, ended up punching her backup dancer and threatening Ashley, all leading to her going to rehab to heal herself. but it got worse when her haters banded together and started brining up false rumors to bring her down.

As we finally say farewell in a few hours (some countries may have been already finished celebrating New Year's Day), it's time to let go of the bad memories of that year and bring with us the happiest ones for this year. in 2011, We have lots to look forward too, like the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Goukaiger, the Sentai version of Kamen Rider Decade, Demi Lovato's comeback, and Hannah Montana's final episode.

so 2010... We'll miss you.

"Now, count up your crimes!"

Expies in Good Luck Charlie

Ever wondered which character in Good Luck Charlie is equal to? guess what, I found out the following expies of the Duncan Family members in other shows.
For the character of Teddy Duncan, her personality and traits are equal to that of Lizzie McGuire's, minus the toon alter-ego.

For Gabe Duncan, his personality is a mix of Matt McGuire and Max Russo from Lizzie McGuire and Wizards of Waverly Place, respectively. The Matt part is that Gabe doesn't like his sister Charlie, like Matt sometimes don't get along with Lizzie, and the Max part is that Gabe is close to his older sister Teddy like Max is to Alex Russo. both Matt and Max are trouble makers like Gabe is.

For Amy Duncan who is the mom of the Duncan kids, she is more like Carey Martin from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, since Carey's personality is the same in Amy's.

For Bob Duncan who is the father of the Duncan kids, both his appearance and personality are that of Jerry Russo of Wizards of Waverly Place. not only does he resemble Jerry, but also his personality of being a bumbling dad by Jerry is there too.

For PJ Duncan, his personality is that of Jackson Stewart of Hannah Montana while his appearance is almost that of season 1 Chad Dylan Cooper from Sonny with a Chance. despite being a hard-working older brother, he still gets a bit of trouble like Jackson does.

For Charlie Duncan (for those you have no idea, she's a girl with a boy's name for a shortened variation), although there's no other babies on Disney Channel shows, she is patterned after Michelle Tanner from Full House. Charlie however, is a one-baby character than two in Michelle's.

For the Duncan Family as a whole, they are reminiscent of the Stevens Family of Even Stevens. even the show they're on is a new generation version of Even Stevens.

Good Luck Charlie: my review

This is a review of how down to earth this new show is, since I already watched the 1st episode yesterday.

The series in my opinion is more of Even Stevens w/ a video diary element, since the main girl of the show, Charlotte aka "Charlie" is still an infant in the series, and Teddy (Bridgit Mendler), the main older sister and also one of the leads in the series, tapes whatever happens in her life and her two brothers. The main characters that they put focus on are more bigger than on Wizards of Waverly Place, centering on Teddy, Gabe and Charlie for the starting episode (since Jason Dolley, who plays elder brother PJ goes as sub plot along w/ his dad who kinda is an Expy of Jerry Russo from WoWP), but of course this is just the first episode, so all three sibs may work together as a whole later on.

For the first episode, Teddy has a study partner to help her out on her homework, but in between are her attempts to snag a kiss on her partner, however it doesn't go well. in turn, she neglected Gabe (who was starving to death or something), thus leading to Gabe doing something wrong to their neighbor. Fortunately Teddy saves her lil' bro's butt, and decides to have a little talk w/ him about it.

as of the sub plot, Both PJ and Mr. Duncan have to try to get medical treatment w/o Mrs. Duncan knowing but however the cover blows. (note that Mrs. Duncan is a nurse and it was bad timing that they were in the hospital the same time Mr. Duncan's "accident" occurred being in the butt) how did Mr. Duncan got to the hospital? If you watched it, he slipped, and almost killed Charlie but thank goodness he caught it.

All in all I think this show is more of family-friendly, and a good alternative if you guys are sick of WoWP, Suite Life on Deck or other shows. this is a back to basics show that you'll love, esp. if you love babies- like me! XD If you love Even Stevens, give this a try- you won't regret it.

My grade for Good Luck Charlie- A+. Must watch, highly enjoyable.
